• Rinse thoroughly: After washing, rinse the fabric thoroughly with cold water to remove any detergent residue. 

• Hand wash: Use a mild detergent and cold water, and soak the fabric in a tub. Move the fabric around to distribute the soap evenly. 
• Avoid wringing: Squeeze out excess water, but don't wring or twist the fabric, as this can damage it. 
• Lay flat to dry: After washing, lay the fabric flat to air dry. 
• Iron on low: If ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting and a pressing cloth to protect the fabric. You can also iron without steam. 
• Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals: Don't use bleach or harsh chemicals on georgette fabric.
